This is a wonderfully written post about Hostgator, and am glad I’m on it too. I really can’t say if this is the best one around or not, because what works for one, might not work for another. But I do know that everything has so far being going on pretty good for me.
I guess it’s the support system we look for in-case we face problems, which again has been pretty good. But just as it’s the case with some hosting companies – this one too has it’s down times. Like yesterday, they were facing issues where the comments were showing a 404 error, though only on some blogs. But if you reach out with your problems they are sure to help out.

Thanks for the post, we also decided to go with Hostgator. Do you perhaps have any recommendations on the “Sitelock” security feature they also have for $14 per year. They say it protects you from viruses, spam, etc. I’m not sure if this is something worth going for.
We also decided to go for their SEO Gears package which they add with your hosting. You get a very nice e-book that explains SEO if you are completely new to SEO. Yet, I’m not sure if it was really worth it. Personally we found more benefit from free resources available online.
