Interview With Zac Johnson – Mastermind Of Affiliate Marketing

Hello guys, I’ve started an Interview section and time to time I’ll publish interviews on my blog. Today we are with Zac Johnson. He is an awesome Pro-Blogger and Mastermind of Affiliate marketing. I’m a big fan of Zac and his blogs.

 

Hello Zac Johnson, welcome to my blog!

My readers and I really want to know about you, your blog and your products. So who is Zac Johnson?

Zac Johnson Interview I’m just your average guy who has a love for marketing and doing business on the internet. I first started making money online over 15 years ago and have been in nearly every facet there is… such as web site, blogging, ad campaigns, pay per click, email marketing, running my own affiliate programs and much more.

What are your areas of expertise?

As mentioned, I’ve been all over the place marketing wise… but I really enjoy building new web site and blogs. Finding niche marketing, creating content and building sites from the ground up has always been very fun. Creating ad campaigns is a great way to make money, but there is a lot of risk in finding profitable margins and actually getting paid what you are owed through the ad networks. When you have your own web sites, you actually own a real business.

How have you successfully managed your blog all these while?

I started blogging in 2007 and it’s done quite well. When I started the blog I made sure to make it brandable and stand out from the crowd by not only having a custom site design and logo, but also with real content and stories from my years of online marketing. The main goal of the blog is to help other people discover new ways to make money online.

You have been featuring successful bloggers of recent. How have you been able to organize these interviews?

I’m a big believer in helping as many people as I can. If someone sends me an email, I will usually get back to them very fast and not try to sell them on consulting or whatever… I simply tell them what they need to know or where to go.

The same holds true for introducing people to the right people and connections online. Through blogger interviews it opens up people to a whole new world of connections. Not just for the person being interviewed, but also for everyone reading the interview as well.

How do you feel being a successful blogger?

It’s quite a crazy concept. Before starting the blog I was fairly well known in the affiliate marketing space, but once I started the blog everything kind of exploded. In addition to appearing on ABC and FOX News, publishing my own book and speaking around the world, I wrote up a nice list of ways blogging has changed my life.

You have been helping bloggers to promote their businesses. What is your motivation?

The funny thing about internet marketing and blogging is that you never know what is going to happen next, so that’s one of the big reasons why I love it. As for motivation there are a million reasons… from helping people online, to having my own set of goals and always striving to do better and meet new people. It never ends…

What has been the best method of promoting your business online?

The branding and growth of ZacJohnson.com over the years has been quite amazing. I often think about how it would be if I started my blog a few years earlier! In the end it’s all about creating your own brand and identity and not just being “another” affiliate or blogger.

Who is your mentor?

Without my dad none of this would have been possible. He’s always been a motivational and driving force my whole live. From the early years when I was in elementary school and talking about marketing, all the way to high school when I flew across the country with him to attend my first internet marketing conference. He’s the best and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him. Thanks Dad!

What is your experience with Blog Promotion and Affiliate marketing?

The blog and affiliate marketing ties extremely well into each other… I blog about affiliate marketing and people read the blog because they want to learn how to make money online. Since I know what I am doing and how to make money online, it makes the concept of blogging easy. Something many people struggle with is creating a blog that they aren’t passionate about or have no idea on the topic.

How has it improved your relationship with other bloggers?

Just like it’s helped with coming up with blog content, it also helps with gaining connections and meeting new people every day. Since the blog is focused on affiliate marketing and making money online, it also leads to a lot of new business and partnerships from advertisers and people who read the blog. You can see a growing trend here that the blog and it’s content works in many ways!

What have been your greatest challenges online?

It’s tough to run your own business from the internet for a lot of reasons. You don’t have a boss to push you, nor do you have a team of workers or set goals to hit. While this sounds awesome (and it is!), it can also be dangerous for you to not get as much done as you need, or you can even spread yourself too thin with too much going on. These are some of the things you need to be careful about.

What advice do you have for those wishing to become bloggers?

Straight up… JUST DO IT!

The biggest problem that bloggers and online marketers have is that they spend way to much time researching and waiting, then never actually getting anything accomplished.

Just do it and fail… then learn from your mistakes. This is how you become successful and the best at anything.

    I was going through his posts on his niche site project and has really learnt a lot from those posts.

    Nice Interview. Interview like these from Pro-Blogger will inspire the newbies to work harder in blogging and achieve something which they wish.

    Affiliate Marketing is one method which now is booming and every individual is jumping into it to earn lots. So guess this interview will help them more t understand about it and work towards it in a better way.
